Wouldn't compare Cyberpunk 2077 to Starfield or any Bethesda. They did a thousand times better in making the world believable and tons of quality side quest that weren't radient quest. And tbh, the radient quest in Cyberpunk are much better than Starfield by a long shot.
What Bethesda needed to do was simple, give use handcrafted interesting quest and a world that feels like it's real that you can get lost in. Bethesda isn't good at role-playing games, heck their not even good at storytelling, they're strength is in creating a world that's a vibe to explore and that's what they failed to capture with Starfield.
I can walk in Night City for hours admiring the architecture, the environmental story-telling, the random gang fights you come across, the police chases that happen, the hallway you never noticed before that leads me to a huge underground section that was apparently a drug hideout and I find a cool gun. Cyberpunk actively rewards you for stopping to smell the roses and Starfield doesn't.
And as someone who's put over 100 hours into this game and explore over 100 planets, I can confidently say no matter how much I want to love the game, it's impossible because exploring and clearing out the same Anbandoned UC Listening base with Crismon Fleet pirates for the 24th time... it just gets old and I gain nothing new. I wish Starfield had as much variety as Night City, but it doesn't and that sucks because I really wanted to love Starfield.
