Cataxi are a type of fauna in Starfield. They are found around the planet Freya III. They are also encountered during the main story mission Entangled.

Ataxi are scorpion-like aliens and the native apex predator of Freya III.
Cataxi Nymphs are gray and as the Cataxi mature, they become a mossy green. The top of their bodies are covered in hard chitin, supposedly strong enough to withstand gunfire. They are aggressive in behavior and are capable of poisoning people with both the stingers on their tail and the spit they shoot at enemies.
