Dani is an even-tempered person with a strong independent streak and a habit of calling people "hon".
They grew up in a rich family, but left home on bad terms, subsequently changing their name. They used to work at Ryujin Industries, only to be fired for researching the outlawed mech technology, which they believe to have many non-combat applications. They were charged with treason, bribed the authorities into dropping the charges, but still wish to flee Neon in case trouble comes knocking again.
They are also an Aurora user but claim to not be addicted and that it's only a tool to help with work.

Dani can be found in the Euphorika bar on Neon and will immediately offer to work as a crew member, asking a smaller fee compared to others.

While they have a female voice and demeanor, Dani's body model is male, visible when equipped with the swimsuit apparel. They mention having gotten their appearance changed at Enhance!, but their gender identity is never mentioned anywhere and there is no dialogue referring to Dani with a pronoun.
