The Derelict Transport is a derelict ship found adrift above the moon Dione in Sol.
Background[]
The Derelict Transport belonged to Lt. Manny Pacheco, a former United Colonies Marine who was honorably discharged from service for medical reasons. According to computer logs on the ship, Pacheco received his discharge on October 14, 2310, amid the Colony War. He messaged his wife, expressing his excitement about returning home and seeing their son. Unfortunately for Pacheco, his wife revealed that she had met someone else during his absence and was taking their son to live with her new partner in Neon. This apparently drove Pacheco to destroy his ship's controls and then commit suicide with an Old Earth Pistol, leaving the Derelict Transport adrift in Dione's orbit for the next two decades.
The Spacefarer can board and loot the Derelict Transport. There are no hostiles or environmental hazards. Manny Pacheco's body is labelled "UC Marine", and can be found next to his computer, still holding his Old Earth Pistol.
