The Desperation is a weapon in Starfield. It is a rare unique variant of the AA-99.

The weapon comes pre-equipped with 6 attachments and the Cornered weapon effect, which make it deal more damage the less health the player has.

The Desperation can be acquired by first completing the Run the Red Mile side quest and then running the course 28 more times. Doing so will earn the player the highest score in the Red Mile, for which the Desperation will be awarded from Mei.
