This is a compilation page of Easter eggs in Starfield. Easter eggs are references to previous works, generally of a similar or related nature. Although many of these seem obvious, they are often not confirmed by developers and may be open to interpretation where they fit into multiple works.

TV and Films[]

  • A derelict ship : “The Colander” can be found in the Schrodinger System. It is a very creepy and dark ship with plenty of dead bodies, strange sounds, blood, notes... and of course something... else. A very nice nod to the ill-fated expedition of the Nostromo from the first Alien movie.
  • If Sam Coe dies in High Price to Pay, his description will read “See you, Space Cowboy”, which appeared at the end of nearly every episode of Cowboy Bebop.
  • Maurice Lyon will tell you about a large creature that used to knock down huge buildings, and then say that he might be confusing that with an old movie. This description matches the that of Godzilla.
  • Some posters, seen at Bessel III base (and likely others) show posters entitled “Blue Harvest”. This is a potential reference to the working project name for Star Wars: Episode VI.
  • Some movie posters seen in stations and planetary bases depict a movie called “Das Raumschiff” a play on the German 1981 movie "Das Boot”
  • The lost and found terminal on Paradiso lists several items that reference multiple movies:
    • Sapphire heart necklace found on the ocean floor — Titanic
    • Antique digital music player hanging from a tree branch — Guardians of the Galaxy
    • Red and white bicycle left after a film shoot — Elliot's Bicycle from ET
    • Gold ring found in volcanic ash — Lord of the Rings

Star Trek[]

Real World[]

  • The mission UC Wants You! is similar to the United States recruitment posters of early World War Two eras, “Uncle Sam Wants You!”.
  • Robots on Gagarin will remark “A robot shall not harm a parcel, or allow a parcel to come to harm through inaction” a play on Isaac Asimov's laws of robotics in I Robot.
  • Arachna and its moons Itsy and Bitsy are a play on the nursery rhyme Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Astronauts[]

Many of the planets reference astronauts, including:
