Echoes of the Past is a mission in Starfield.

Summary[]

Delgado requires Red Fleet recruits (who he calls “rooks”) to come with him to “the Lock”, the prison on the Planet Suvorov where Kryx was held, for the purpose of finding clues to the location of Kryx's treasure, referred to as “the Legacy”. You and Mathis, another rook, are separated from Delgado and the rest of his crew. Eventually finding proof, you and Mathis report in to Delgado using the prison comms. You use the prison's shuttle to leave Suvarov and return to the Key. There you give Delgado what you have learned about the Legacy and are assigned to the next mission. You return to the UC Vigilance to report what you have been doing.

Detailed Walkthrough[]

You, Delgado, Mathis, and the rest of the crew land on Suvorov. Delgado has the code to enter the Lock, and all of you do so, except your companion, who is refused entry and must wait outside. Delgado sends you and Mathis to the control room, for the purpose of finding the way further into the Lock. An ice deposit collapses: you and Mathis are separated from the rest of them. Mathis suggests that the two of you betray Delgado and get the Legacy (whatever that is) for yourselves. You can either agree to do so or not.

You reach D-Block, the portion of the prison where the worst prisoners were kept. In the guard tower, You can find records on the computer terminal indicating that Kryx was kept in cell D-03-118. If you can find a way to unlock and find the cell, you can find a clue to where the Legacy information is located. You find the information and use an escape tunnel to make your way to the prison shuttle, with which you leave the Lock and travel to the Key.

  • Digging further into the guard tower terminal logs, you will receive an optional objective to reach a weapon cache in one cell, D-02-106. The switch to open the related door is in the security room on the floor above it. The switch like the others need to be first powered from the above-mentioned guard tower computer.

At the Key, you give the information to Delgado. If you told Delgado Mathis is useless at the beginning of your last dialogue on Suvorov, he will kick him from the fleet, and you'll have to meet him at Nova and listen to his threats (which he will later try to fulfill attacking your ship with trio of his, this may depend on spawning location be a difficult fight). Naeva then instructs you to assist her in another scheme that has to be performed during your next mission.

You need to report your progress at the UC Vigilance before proceeding.
