Energy Weapon Systems is an Advanced Tech Skill. It is used to improve the damage output of energy weapons in Space Combat.

Progression and Strategy[]
Energy Weapon Systems is not hard to level. The player can use quest boards to find instances of space combat. After that, the player should be careful to actually use energy weapons as opposed to ballistic weapons or missiles. The starting ship, the Frontier, features ballistic weapons, energy weapons, and missiles, but its energy weapons are its strongest system in its default configuration.
Energy Weapon Systems is a good way to make the player more effective in dogfighting. This effectiveness goes for both destroying enemy ships or disabling them for boarding actions.
The Targeting Control Systems skill is needed to get the most out of Energy Weapon Systems, but is by no means required.
