The Freestar Mech Factory is a former mech factory which used to belong to the Freestar Collective. It is now used by the First Mercenary Company as their base of operations.

First to Fight, First to Die[]
Find and confront Major Paxton Hull.
Layout[]
The exterior of the factory consists of two landing pads and a largely overgrown pathway. A dead UC Marine can be found here, as well as five planted mines near the entrance. Paxton Hull will make an announcement when the entrance is approached.
Inside are six 1st Cav Veterans, as well as an ammo case and a Med Pack. There is a locked door to the "Operations" area, and a door which leads to the refinery or smelting area.
Mech Factory - Smelting[]
Upon entering this area, Paxton Hull will make a second announcement. The entrance used to hold the conveyer belts feeding the factory with materials to create mechs. The area is protected by four 1st Cav Veterans, two at the upper area, two at the lower. A door connects the belts to a control room.
Within the control room are two ammo cases and weapon cases (though of both one is empty), as well as a novice-locked safe, a Digipick and two side rooms. In one of these side rooms are three cots, a cooler, and the Message to Staff: Double Shifts slate. The other side room is locked with an expert lock and holds another cot, a space helmet, spacesuit, storage box and storage crate.
Two doors connect the control room to the refinery floor, which still has molten lava which deals heat damage when approached. The area is defended by twelve 1st Cav Veterans, and also holds some food, two cots, six ammo cases, two first aid kits, one Infantry Alpha, a master-locked safe, Weapon Workbench, a computer to activate a robot (Industrial Robot Model A), a weapon case and an Industrial Workbench.
The end of the refinery is defended by two MK VII turrets, and also holds a storage crate and a destroyed Industrial Robot Model A. A door connects to the assembly area.
Mech Factory - Assembly[]
Upon entering the assembly area, another announcement of Paxton Hull is heard. Some food and an ammo case can be found here, as well as another slate; Message to Staff: Shutting Down. The next section of the assembly appears to have been largely used as a mine for resources, and holds nine 1st Cav Veterans, another destroyed Industrial Robot Model A, a storage crate, an MK VII Turret, and a master-locked storage room. Within the storage room are some Xenowarfare Tech, two storage crates, and a storage box.
Connected to the mine area is the proper assembly plant of the mechs. It is a large open area, with several tunnels allowing ways to get around the assembly plant in cover. The area holds 17 1st Cav Veterans, five ammo cases, a pharmaceutical kit, two weapon cases (of which one is empty), a cooler, a remote robot control computer (Industrial Robot Model A), two storage crates, a destroyed Industrial Robot Model A, and an MK VII Turret.
Upon approaching the end of the assembly area, Paxton Hull makes yet another announcement. In the area is also another space helmet and anopther slate; Attention First: The Time Has Come.
Mech Factory - Command Center[]
The final part of the factory. The path leading to the command center proper holds a cot as well as a storage room, inside of which are a first aid, two weapon cases, two ammo cases, two packs, and two weapon racks (one of which is expert-locked).
The command center proper is defended by eleven 1st Cav Veterans, Paxton Hull himself, and an MK VII and MK IX Turret. It also holds some other things, such as two cots, a space helmet, two coolers, five ammo cases, and two weapon cases of which one is empty. The offices in the center of the area hold a digipick, cot, cooler, an advanced-locked safe, as well as the Freestar Captain's Log 05, First Officer Outfit and First Officer Hat.
A door at the end of the command center leads to the landing bay - but is locked and requires the keycard on the body of Paxton Hull to open. Within is a military crate and a first aid kit, as well as a lift to the loading dock. The loading dock in question connects to the "Operations" door at the entrance, which can now also be unlocked.
