Freight Fright is a miscellaneous mission in Starfield.
Summary[]
You meet Denis Averin, a merchant in Cydonia's Central Hub. Averin runs the UC Exchange. He requests the Spacefarer's help retrieving a shipment on a freighter lost in the Martian desert and gives you its last remaining coordinates.

Detailed Walkthrough[]
After receiving the quest from Denis, proceed to the crashed freighter. Upon exiting Cydonia, head right towards the ship technicians and proceed to the ship marked with a quest marker. You can also see the ship from the surface map.
Once you arrive at the freighter site, enter the freighter. You will encounter approximately 8 Heatleeches (1 dead, 7 alive) and a handful of dead crew. Exterminate the Heatleeches. There is evidence of an attempt of survival - one of the crew is found dead holding a spacesuit. After finding dataslate JABR A-2: JOB 146789, you learn the story of the freighter, which details the backstory of how the ship crashed: the crew lost all control of ship systems and lost O2, and clearly did not have enough time to find and equip spacesuits before suffocating.
You can loot the crew for credits and digipicks. Next, examine each piece of cargo. 6 additional Heatleeches will pop out of the containers. Kill them and examine all the containers. After complete, return to Cydonia.
Return to Denis at the UC Exchange. He will be gratified that he the cargo was intact, and express some remorse about the crew. He will send someone to retrieve the cargo and leaves the door open for more jobs from him.
