Heavy Weapon Certification is an Advanced Combat Skill. It increases the damage dealt by the Spacefarer's heavy weapons.

1	Kill 20 enemies with a heavy weapon.	Heavy weapons do 10% more damage.
2	Kill 50 enemies with a heavy weapon.	Heavy weapons do 20% more damage.
3	Kill 100 enemies with a heavy weapon.	Heavy weapons do 30% more damage.
4	N/A	Gain 25% Physical resistance while aiming down sights with a heavy weapon.

Progression and Strategy

Heavy Weapons (and sometimes their ammo) can be rare and/or expensive, so leveling Heavy Weapon Certification can be difficult. Other than that, it's pretty straightforward.

Heavy Weapons Certification can be neat if the player prefers the big guns, but isn't very useful in the early game. Skills that are for run-of-the-mill weapons are usually better due to access. But if the player wants to go for Heavy Weapons, they are free to do so.
