Huan Daiyu is a character in Starfield.
Background[]
Huan Daiyu is a smuggler and captain of her own ship, the Jade Swan. She successfully transports prohibited goods in the UC sector. During the mission The Best There Is, you must meet her at The Well. As a civilian contractor, she is one of very few cargo carriers to the military research station SY-920.
According to some members of her crew, Huan Daiyu joined the Crimson Fleet just recently and most of her current crew were already serving under her before. They also claim that Huan may act strict and distanced, but is deeply caring for her crew, unlike most other pirate captains. They also explain that they lost one of their members some time ago and this left a deep inpact on her.
During the mission The Best There Is, the player must meet her at The Well. Huan can take you to the station disguised as one of her own crew members. She has no problem not knowing what the mission is exactly, but she strictly asks you to work silent, since she does not want to loose her contract. On board star station SY-920, your task is to obtain the ComSpike prototype. Huan can be spoken to over several intercoms and provides the player with information about the station and it's security.
Huan Daiyu's fate depends on the player's action. If you don't betray her during the mission, you will meet her on board the UC Vigilance during the final mission Legacy's End if you choose to side with the pirates. If you side with the UC SysDef, she will instead be arrested and can be found in the prison area of the UC Vigilance. If spoken to, she tells the Spacefarer that she changed her name to avoid attention after what happened at SY-920, but UC SysDef was able to discover it and surrounded her ship when she landed in New Atlantis. However, she denies every tie to the crimson fleet and claims that she will soon be free again, because there is no proofe for any crimes she has comitted.
During the mission Search and siezure, Huan and her ship appear in a list of potential smugglers associated with a confidential UC station, likely SY-920, and the player can accuse Huan of being a smuggler.
