Background[]
The original proprietor of Kay's Place. Kay is now retired and transferred the business to their child Theresa Mason.[1] Although they surrendered ownership, they can be found behind the host stand and firmly believe the business has stood for so long because of their policy of making everyone comfortable, telling it like it is and not taking "any shit."[2] Their motivations for starting the business was the principle of looking out for one another.
