The Magshot is a weapon in Starfield.

Characteristics[]

An extremely powerful magnetic-induction revolver fully capable of killing some of the deadliest foes the Settled Systems have to offer. Its killing potential is tempered by its monstrous recoil, middling accuracy, small six-round cylinder, and its slow reload speed, meaning one must make every shot count. The burstfire modification that converts it into a three-round burst firing pattern only increases its brutal recoil, but, at close ranges, can utterly decimate foes that are dozens of levels above the character’s own.

  • The Kore Kinetics shop at their HQ in Neon sells exclusively Magstorm weapons including the Magshot (take the elevator near the entrance to the Astral Lounge in the Trade Tower).

Notes[]

Like its many Mag cousins, the Magshot has an integral targeting laser system, in its specific case, consisting of three lasers around its barrel. When highlighting a hostile target, the lasers will turn from blue to red, allowing one to make accurate shots without even needing to aim as long as all three lasers have turned red, indicating it is on-target.
