Managing Assets is the twelfth story mission for Ryujin Industries in Starfield.

This mission is situational. Decisions during Back to the Grind and Guilty Parties will affect if this mission appears and how this it plays out.

Detailed Walkthrough

Managing Assets will only be issued if, during the Guilty Parties mission, you ignored the advice to speak to Dalton & did not notify Benjamin Bayu about your plan to visit the Seokguh Syndicate Hideout to search for Imogene. This mission can also be issued if, during the conversation with Bayu, you chose the answer “Bring it up with Dalton”. Bayu will be frustrated and demand a favor be done in exchange for this act of insubordination.

• If you chose to get permission from Benjamin Bayu to enter the Seokguh Syndicate Hideout, this mission will be skipped and Sabotage will immediately begin after The Key Ingredient ends.

After completing The Key Ingredient, Masako Imada will reprimand you for violating protocol during Guilty Parties. Your actions as an employee of Ryujin behind Benjamin Bayu's back on Syndicate territory angered him, and the corporation's management promised the governor to provide a favor to resolve the conflict. And as the person responsible for what happened, it is you who needs to solve the problem. Masako will make it clear that this favor is a requirement to ensure Ryujin maintains a positive working relationship with Bayu.

You need to find and eliminate a competitor's operative. If you left Tomo Higashi alive during the first mission for Ryujin and let him get away, he will be the competitor operative you are hunting.

If you already killed Tomo in Back to the Grind, the target will be a random operative in a random location. Carry out the assignment and kill the target, allow him to escape, or convince him to pay a bribe for the opportunity to escape alive by lying about completing the task to Ryujin and Bayu.

Return to Dalton. You will have unique dialogue if the target was Tomo. He will let Bayu know that amends have been made, and the mission ends. Ryujin Industries penultimate mission Sabotage will immediately begin.
