Known Bugs[]
A list of known bugs for this quest:
- When having the objectives “talk to Franklin”, or “see Franklin about an emergency”, the player may experience a hardlock in the quest, as the doors leading to Franklin will be marked “Inaccessible” preventing the player from progressing the quest. This may occur at any time the player needs to talk to Franklin for unknown reasons.
- This may be fixed by going back to the player's ship and waiting for 24 hours
- This may be rerouted by entering combat with a robot at the location, standing above the door to Franklin's house until he clips through the door, returning to the player's ship with Franklin following the player, entering the ship, and then leaving the ship. This should make all NPCs stop combat and Franklin will be outside for a short time. It is important to not have any NPCs die for this to work.[1]
- Using the Rescue Axe Zipping Glitch to clip the player through the wall to enter and using fast travel to exit.[2]
- If on PC versions of the game, the player can enter the console command screen, and use TCL to clip through the door. This will disable achievements from being earned for that save file.
- If the player has to fight one or more of the three leaders near the end of the quest line as a result of the side chosen by the player, the NPCs in the town may turn permanently hostile towards the player. This may also occur if the player enters any sort of combat with any of the friendly NPCs in the town.
- This may be fixed by: reloading a previous save, rebooting the game, killing all the hostile NPCs, or returning to the player's ship without killing any NPCs and waiting 1 hour.[3]
