Progression and Strategy[]
Payloads doesn't have very difficult challenges. A player could rapidly power level Payloads by dumping a lot of stuff in a ship's cargo hold (which most players do anyway) and jumping back and forth. It isn't hard to fill the cargo hold of the starting ship, the Frontier.
Payloads fits within the “nice to have” skill area. It is often easier to simply add extra cargo capacity via Ship Customization rather than invest Skill points in Payloads. However, if the player is a cargo-heavy player or simply wants to squeeze every bit of value out of their ships, Payloads is there. Payloads are more useful for small ships than large ones, as a large ship's cargo capacity is often enormous.
