Starfield Wiki

Run the Red Mile is a repeatable side mission in Starfield.

Summary[]

While in the Red Mile hall, this mission can occur after the NPC's remarks, or you can initiate it yourself in a conversation with Mei Devine. During the mission On the Run, you will be tasked with obtaining information from Mei about her business partner Marco Graziani. She will only agree to give it to you in exchange for completing the Red Mile. After completing the mission for the first time, the player receives the Brute Force shotgun.

The mission objective is simple, activate the beacon and return back. Killing Red Mile Mauler monsters is not necessary for completion. Since killing monsters rewards relatively small amount XP, and crafting materials from corpses are common, this is not the best choice of hunting location for leveling.

The game plots the player's route in such a way as to approach and attract the attention of at least several monsters along the way. Once activated, the beacon also attracts monsters in the area. A character who specializes in stealth can bypass most or all monsters along the way, and some Powers can also help.

Breaking the Donovan Rhys record of 28 completions will reward you with the Desperation rifle and the ability to create a wall decoration.

  • Return to Mei
  • I survived the Red Mile! But should I maybe press my luck and try again sometime? I currently sit at successful runs.
