Scavenging is a Novice Social Skill.[1] It improves the player's gains from looting containers.

Progression and Strategy[]
Scavenging can be leveled rapidly, as there is often a high density of containers in dungeon areas. It does not require much player input to level, as looting containers is part of the core gameplay loop.
Scavenging ultimately saves the player a lot of credits throughout a play through. Ammunition is typically a significant expense for a late game player, and finding a lot of ammo for free (Level 2) is great. It's a very useful ability to get throughout a play through, but won't directly assist a player in combat.
