Slates are written text on a data slate. They can be found throughout the Settled Systems, either as loot from characters, pieces of intel, or quest items.
Some slates are text slates which, as the name suggests, features written text. Others are audio slates, which only have audio with subtitles. Some are a combination, in which the text is both written on the slate and spoken.
