Sol, also known as the Solar System, is the star system where Earth, the birthplace of humanity, is located.[1] In Starfield, Sol's glory days are long over and humanity has spread across a small region of the galaxy called the Settled Systems, although the Martian colony of Cydonia remains the most important mining settlement in the United Colonies. By 2330, the system is commonly referred to as "The Old Neighborhood".[2]
