Solomon Coe was the founder and first governor of Akila City, and the founder of the Freestar Collective. His descendants include Sam Coe and Cora Coe.[1]

Biography[]
Solomon Coe was born on Earth and lived in the state of Wyoming in the United States of America. He originally worked as an astrophysicist, but later in life he became a starship designer. Some of Solomon's ship designs were used during the evacuation of Earth.
After the exodus from Earth began in the latter half of the 22nd century, Solomon was inspired to become an explorer by the Centaurus Proclamation issued by the United Colonies in 2161. In 2167, he discovered the Cheyenne system, which he named after the capital of Wyoming, and he was the first person to set foot on the planet Akila. His original camp was set up just outside the future site of Akila City, which he would later establish with the help of other colonists who would become known as founding families. Solomon spent much of his early years on Akila mapping the planet before turning to politics and taking on the role of Akila City's first governor. In 2188, he proposed an alliance with Neon in the Volii system, and this alliance was formalized in 2189 with the creation of the Freestar Collective.
Solomon's descendants enjoyed a prominent place in Freestar government and culture. Jacob Coe worked as an economic official during the Colony War and helped prevent the collapse of the Freestar economy in the war's aftermath, and Sam Coe served with the Freestar Rangers.
