Detailed Walkthrough[]
On the Key, Naeva and Jasmine tell you that the ComSpike is at a top-secret star station, SY-920. They send you to meet with one of Naeva's smuggling contacts, Huan Daiyu, in New Atlantis.
You travel to New Atlantis, landing at the Spaceport and going to the well, where you find Huan. She agrees for you to travel on her ship, the Jade Swan, to SY-920, a star station orbiting Luyten's Rock. While docking with SY-920, Huan advises you to enter the space station and then try to find an intercom and a uniform. In the Command Bay. Near an intercom (on which you talk with Huan), you find that the hatch to access the Command Bay is locked. Huan suggests that you listen to what the loading crew members are saying to each other. You hear that one of them, Elijah Schilling, has lost his security card. Speak with him; he may have lost it by the forklift. Sure enough, it is there, but there is a guard standing right next to it. You tell the guard that Elijah needs to speak to him. While the guard is doing that, you can steal the card and use the card to get into the barracks and, from there, the Command Bay.
You can also simply talk your way through by convincing the cargo bay guard to let you pass. Doing so circumvents the need for stealth, stealing key card or lock picking, and crawling the vents. You can just walk right in and grab the uniform.
Finding and equipping the ensign uniform allows you to move freely, but to avoid suspicion, you need to read the nearby terminals and figure out which of the two uniforms is appropriate for your body type. To get through the checkpoint, you also need to find the clearance code corresponding to your chosen alias. Being in the uniform also means that grabbing any items lying around won't count as stealing and draw attention. You can even rest in the nearby bunks to retain your well rested bonus.
Enter the Command Bay. According to the archive terminals, the ComSpike is being developed in the Engineering Bay. On one of the terminals, you can upgrade your security clearance to enable you to access Engineering Bay 4, the bay where they are working on the ComSpike. You can open the door to Bay 4 using a remote security door control. After this point you may be stopped for suspicious behavior if getting too close to the security personal, finding and equipping a lab coat may help. In Engineering Bay 4 on Dr. Vogel’s body (the chief scientist charged with developing the ComSpike), you can find a key to access the docking bays. Alternatively, you can talk him into accepting you as a test pilot or securing his help by betraying Huan.
It turns out that the ComSpike is built into the prototype ship. Make your way to Docking Bay 8, Schedule, on a terminal, a test flight for the ComSpike, and escape with the prototype ship. If you followed the procedure by taking the pilot suit, gone through the last checkpoint and scheduled the flight, no one will be attacking you as opposed to if alert is sounded. The prototype ship is nevertheless strong enough to withstand a few hits before you jump out if it comes to it.
You return to the Key and speak with Huan at the Last Nova, provided you haven't used her to divert the heat before. The prototype ship is being torn apart and the ComSpike is being reverse engineered to figure out how it works. Report to Delgado and then take your own ship to report at the Vigilance, where if you killed people on SY-920 you will be severely berated.
