The Lock is a location on Suvorov.
Background[]
Over a century ago, the UC had built a super-maximum security prison, The Lock, on the surface of the planet Suvorov in what is today known as the Kryx system, and a star station called The Key above it. The Lock was built to house the most dangerous criminals in the Settled Systems and The Key was built to guard the facility and regulate all incoming and outgoing traffic from the prison. The place was heavily under supplied, understaffed, and had an insufficient heating system for the harsh planet. The prison tried using portable heaters, however the prisoners used them to create weapons so they were removed. The harsh and inhumane conditions caused some guards to worry about riots.
A prisoner named Jasper Kryx instigated a riot in The Lock, and he and a number of other prisoners managed to break out, seize some ships, and capture The Key. The prisoners began using The Key as a base of operations for piracy, and the Crimson Fleet was born in 2241.
Layout[]
The prison had a reception / transfer area to process prisoners and multiple blocks for housing increasingly more dangerous criminals.
- A Block — Standard Prisoner Unit A-K
- B Block — Standard Prisoner Unit L-Z
- C Block — Violent Offender Unit
- D Block — High-Risk Prisoner Unit
- E Block — Solitary Confinement Unit (Sometimes referred to as “S Block”)
- M Block — Medical

In cell block D, there is a watchtower with a computer that contains a list of all prisoners of block D. However, the data of section two is not available.
