Walkthrough[]
The first meeting with Phil Hill takes place in the Broken Spear bar, where he sits at the table littered with folders with documents. In the conversation, he offers to join the LIST (League of Independent Settlers) organization, when agreeing to help Phil, this mission begins.
The mission consists of two parts - find a planet suitable for colonization and recruit volunteers to join LIST. The candidate for recruitment is at the other end in the same bar; by convincing him to become a new colonist, you can immediately receive a reward and report to Phil Hill. In the future, you can purchase additional copies of booklets for recruiting colonists from him and receive a reward for this, sometimes candidates can be meet in different places.
For the second part of the mission, you need to explore a planet suitable for life with an oxygen atmosphere, the trigger is 100% surveyed of such a planet, if you have already explored one before talking with Phil and have the data with you, this still will not help you immediately complete the task.
For 100% Planet Surveying a habitable planet, you need to scan all available sources of mineral resources, all types of flora and fauna and open all planetary traits. Some resource veins do not generate in open areas and can be found in caves. To discover Planetary Traits, you need to explore signs of life and natural anomalies. Some types of flora and fauna can only be found in biomes of certain types of terrain, marine fauna - on the coast. Scanning life forms may require landing in various areas on the planet.
Planets of a relatively low level with an oxygen atmosphere and not very far (<20 ly) from Alpha Centauri are located in the Altair, Eridani, Guniibuu, Indum, Piazzi, Procyon A, Tau Ceti systems. On the planet Piazzi I, only one mineral is available for mining, there are two planetary traits, no fauna and only 4 plant species. But a full scan will still require landing on 3 different types of terrain.
