Walkthrough[]
After asking Sergeant Yumi about the job, he will ask for help in investigating vandalism at the NAT station in the MAST District. A newly hired UC Sec officer is already on site. Officer Markkanen communicates with a new witness upon meeting. Functionary Gershon was the first to report the incident; he described the criminal in detail and even identified him by appearance in the database. His testimony was treated with confidence as an employee of MAST. But the testimony of the new witness is completely different. Together with the officer, you go to re-interrogate the applicant, but he refuses to answer questions, citing being busy. Gershon gives you access to his computer, claiming that he has already put everything in writing.
Functionary Gershon identified the vandal as Tahir Vala, a resident of The Well. The player may have previously encountered him in the mission The Kindness of Strangers. If you agree with Functionary Gershon's testimony, Tahir Vala will be arrested and charged with a crime.
After carefully studying the testimony, examining the official’s workplace and reading all the entries in the computer, you can find out that Gershon had previously unsuccessfully accused Tahir Vala of pickpocketing. Having collected the evidence, it is possible to accuse Functionary Gershon himself of committing the crimes of vandalism, forgery and perjury.
